iPhoto2 products do not require an iPhoto2 account.

iPhoto2 does not collect personal data, photos, analysis results, or location data from its products.

Photo processing runs on the device with Apple frameworks.

An iPhoto2 product accesses photos only after you grant the relevant Apple system permission. You can grant full access, limited access, or no access.

FoodPhotos requests analysis-sized images instead of original-sized images. If an authorized photo is stored in iCloud, Apple PhotoKit may download that photo to the device for local analysis.

iPhoto2 products do not upload, copy, edit, cache, or delete original photos.

iPhoto2 products process photo content on the device with Apple frameworks. FoodPhotos uses Vision to extract a foreground subject before Core ML classifies that subject.

Products may store local records needed for their features. FoodPhotos stores an asset identifier, classification result, confidence score, and model version. These records remain on the device and do not contain image data.

When a photo is identified as food, FoodPhotos adds the original asset to a system Photos album named FoodPhotos.

Removing a photo through the app changes only its membership in that album. It does not delete the original asset from the system Photo Library.

An iPhoto2 product requests location only when a feature needs it. FoodPhotos uses the current device location to center its map and reads location metadata from authorized food photos to place them on that map.

FoodPhotos does not use location to classify food. iPhoto2 products do not send location data to iPhoto2.

iPhoto2 products have no iPhoto2 account system, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK, and do not send personal photo content or analysis results to an iPhoto2 backend.

Products use Apple system frameworks. FoodPhotos uses PhotoKit, Vision, Core ML, SwiftData, Core Location, and MapKit. Apple services such as iCloud Photos and Maps operate under Apple's terms and privacy policy.

This website does not intentionally use cookies, analytics, accounts, or contact forms.

The website host and content delivery provider may process standard request information, such as an IP address and browser metadata, under their own policies.

You can change Photo Library and location permissions at any time in Apple system settings.

Deleting an iPhoto2 product removes its local app data. Product-created albums and original photos remain under your control in the Photos app.
